Bio: Mark Bueno was born in San Antonio, Texas 1975. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art with a minor in Art History at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Bueno’s work addresses topics like identity, subcultures, mythology, spirituality, and the influence they have in contemporary society. He considers himself a visual storyteller and uses an array of visual references, mediums, and techniques to share his perception of the human experience. Bueno lives in Colorado where he continues to paint, curate, sculpt, body paint, and mural. He contributes to museum art programs and non-profit galleries, and participates in numerous fundraisers, art auctions, and special events. Currently, his work involves perceptions of beauty within the mundane specifically using discarded wood material, making paintings of his memoirs involving the ocean, and his most recent work concerning the mysteries of the unknown when it comes to life and death.
